The Knysna community is reaching out to help Jaco De Lange (23), who urgently needs a new kidney. Jaco was in the news last year after suffering kidney failure. He will be undergoing a kidney transplant soon, with his dad Bertus (50) as donor. Bertus has since quit smoking and had to lose weight as preparation for the big transplant.
In an attempt to help, Brenda Murphy from Knysna is doing what she does best- baking.
She will be baking special Valentine Chocolate Cakes and she’s currently taking orders for these delicious cakes:
*Heart shaped chocolate cakes in 2 sizes, regular which is about 22cm and a mini which is about 10 cm across, both double layer, filled with raspberry jam and there is a choice of frostings: 1.Coffee/chocolate Buttercream (made with real butter) R80.00 for regular heart shape and R35.00 for mini size
2: Chocolate Ganache (made with fresh cream and chocolate) R100.00 for regular size and R50.00 for mini size
*Regular round and square cakes are also available. She’s able to offer small round cakes as well and the pricing is the same as the heart cakes.
Profits from the cakes will be donated to Jaco’s fund.
Please get your order(s) in as soon as possible to allow for planning.
